Meru National Park is famous for the lioness Elsa her caretaker Joy Adamson and the story Born Free. Elsas Kopje was built on the site where Joy and her husband George released Elsa back in to the wild. The camp is also named for Elsa the lioness. Elsas pride lives on all these generations later.
