Nevada has a lot of old trains, a testament to its early 1900's mining glory days. Photo from Nevada State Railroad Museum
Carson & Tahoe Lumber & Fluming #1 "Glenbrook," a 2-6-0 "Mogul"-type locomotive built by Baldwin Locomotive Works in 1875. Constructed for the C&TL&F narrow-gauge railway, it hauled cut lumber and cord wood from sawmills at Glenbrook, and also worked on a logging railway from Bijou to Meyers. Used by the Bliss family on their Lake Tahoe Railway & Transporation line, it was saved from scrap and given to the Nevada State Museum, where it is on display today.
