Gilbert and George in the Witworth Gallery. The humour ans often sarcastic criticism really hits a spot for me and on their photographs I really enjoy the stained glass effect.

Harry Kivijärvi's Eukleides in Serlachius Museum, Mänttä. I just found it visually and geometrically very pleasing.

"Sappho" by Charles-August Mengin, 1877, Manchester Art Gallery I appreciate the atmosphere and skill of the painting but I also feel very frustrated when facing this painting. Even Sappho is subjected to the male gaze when she was one of the women to pave way for the communal spirit amongst women and fight the patriarchy of her age. I want to see her portrayed with her ideals, not with the lust of men.

Works from Sophia Al-Maria in CornerHouse Manchester: Virgin with a memory. The gallery was a collage of her hopefully upcoming movie Beretta. This installation shows the villains of her piece in a very intense sort of way. I really hope that she can work out all the juridical and financial issues with the film for I at least am really looking forward to it.

"Pineapple" by Christelle Mas in Pekilo 2015 Mänttä. The most hilarious pineapple ever! I laughed my head off, witty and sharp. The verbal abuse of the installation was quite hard so I got some really bad eye from other visitors who thought my laughter was obviously out of line...

This is Roman Signer's Sand, 1996 in the Holden Gallery. Many of his videos presented a "meaningless" task which was presented and devised with great care and perfection. This was my favorite.

Yorkshire Sculpture Park offered quite a few things I liked, but this was my favorite: James Turrell's Deer Shelter Skyspace. It was an underground room with a square on the roof to see the sky. The aesthetics of the room where beautifully minimalist but the best part was how the sky looked like threw the square. When something so vast was confined in a small square it felt very picturesque but the movement of the clouds didn't allow one to forget it was the real sky.

This is Ai Weiwei's Iron Tree in Yorkshire Sculpture Park. Always liked his work, and the texture and rust on this particular work looked very pleasing.
