Porvoo - Finland the church up in the hill is from y. 1233, and has burned down many times, latest was summer 2009. Red barns and old houses tell story of maritime merchandy, and hard times at those little seashore town during the centuries.

Sauvo Church was built in the 1460s and 1470s, but the oldest part dates from the 14th century. It was dedicated to St. Clemence. The mural paintings dates from the end of the 15th century, and the church has one of the best preserved medieval interior in Finland. The pulpit dates from 1651, and the organ dates from 1896. The wooden parts of the belfry date from 1767.
The Old Church of Messukylä is the oldest building in Tampere. It was most likely constructed in the 16th century. Before the stone church dedicated to St Michael, a wooden church stood in its place for a period that is believed to have been slightly less than a century. The Old Church of Messukylä represents the typical style of Finnish churches from the Middle Ages. The decorations around the sacristy are similar to those of other churches of the era located in the Satakunta region.

The St Mary's Church of Sastamala is located on a site that used to hold an old wooden church, or maybe several. The church was renovated to its current form in the 1960s. The church features an earth floor, a stone baptismal font from the 13th century, and an impressive collection of wood carvings. The church is known for its excellent acoustics, which is why it is the main venue for the Sastamala Gregoriana early music festival. The church is open for visitors during the summer.

Laitila Church was built in 1468 in the late Gothic style, and was dedicated to St. Michael. The church has been reconstructed and destroyed by fire several times. The mural paintings date from 1483, and the pulpit is from the middle of the 17th century. The present belfry was built in 1883, and it replaced an earlier one dating from 1848-1849 and destroyed by fire in 1880.
