Legio XXI Rapax - A take on an evocatvs off-duty impression. Evocati were men who had served out their time in legions and obtained honorary discharge, but had voluntarily re-enlisted on a given commander's call. According i.a. to Cassius Dio ("Roman history" 55.24.5), they had a right to carry vitis (a vine staff) like the centurions. Note the wax tablets kept behind fascia ventralis (fabric waist belt) which may indicate some administrative responsibilities --------------------------------- Próba interpretacji wizerunku evocatusa "po służbie". Według m.in. Karolina Harz Photography & Make Up By Utnicka | Facebook
