We improved the yard by adding walkways, lattices, decks, and rocking seats, among other things. New plantings were put to the slope to complete the aesthetic of the backyard. Manzanita, ceanothus, arbutus, and dianella, among the plants introduced to the hillside, are all low-maintenance, thus the hillside should require little upkeep.
