Tove Jansson’s first ever Moomin book ‘The Moomins and the Great Flood’. Tove Jansson began writing the book in War had broken out, and the 25 year old Finnish writer was thinking about a different world, one not shot through with fear and hatred.

Tove Jansson August 1914 – 27 June was a Swedish-speaking Finnish novelist, painter, illustrator and comic strip author. Jansson is best known as the author of the Moomin books for children.
