The highly incised Martian gullies seen in the top image resemble gullies on Earth that are carved by liquid water. However, when the gullies are observed with the addition of mineralogical information (bottom), no evidence for alteration by water appears. - Image credit: NASA/JPL-Caltech/UA/JHUAPL Science And Technology, Sistema Solar, Mars Surface, Astronomy Pictures, Nasa Mars, Nasa Missions

This luminous star, AG Carinae, is losing mass at a phenomenal rate. Its powerful winds reach up to seven million km/hour, and exert enormous pressure on the clouds of material already expelled by the star. AG Carinae lies 20 000 light-years away in the constellation of Carina. - Copyright ESA/Hubble & NASA Space Pictures, Space Images, Space Photos, Hubble Space Telescope, Astronomy Art, Stars Night, Child Of The Universe

A newly published study reveals that the south polar region of Saturn’s icy moon Enceladus is warmer than expected just a few feet below its icy surface. This suggests that Enceladus’ ocean of liquid water might be only a couple of miles beneath this region — closer to the surface than previously thought. - Source: Eurpoean Space Agency; Preston Dychess, Jet Propulsion Laboratory Spacecraft, Space News, Astrophysics, Our Solar System

Picture of a crater on Mars. A relatively young Martian crater discolors the red planet's surface like a bruise in this image taken by NASA's HiRISE spacecraft. Researchers can gauge the crater's age thanks to its sharp rim and intact debris field, known as ejecta. Astronomy Lover, Mars Space, Mars Planet, Impact Crater
