Haugen & Schutte | Catholic Memes
Haugen & Schutte. Neither are Catholic. While hymns are allowed at Mass, why have we ditched the Catholic Church's own musical tradition for stuff that is not Catholic?! There are perfectly good Catholic hymns: why does the average Catholic not know "Adoro te devote," "Panis angelicus," or "Veni Creator Spiritus"?
Wa Habibi, Good Friday Hymn sung by Fairouz
This is one of two official Catholic hymns adopted from the 20th century. I think it is originally Maronite due to the music and usage in church. This Good Friday hymn is sung by the Lebanese singer Fairuz. this song has been set to the Fourteen Stations of the Cross.

“Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised, and His greatness is unsearchable.” Psalm 145:3 “How Great Thou Art” is a Christian hymn based on a Swedish poem written by Carl Gustav Boberg (1859–1940) in Sweden in 1885. The melody is a Swedish folk song. Its popularity is due in large part to its wide use by gospel singers, notably George Beverly Shea of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Team.
