Thomas Rooper, 1570, may have been a member of the Roper family into which Thomas More’s daughter married, believed to be enemies of Queen Elizabeth. The Queen's House didnt exist in 1536 and was not where Ann Boleyn was imprisoned as once thought for this building wasn't built until 1540. Anne was imprisoned in the Queen's Lodgings - marked "g" -on above plan of the Royal Palace which is no longer standing. It is there between the White Tower and the Waterloo Block that Anne Boleyn met her death.
