Kings Bridge Cottage, within Launceston’s Cataract Gorge Reserve, thanks to @kirsten_x_petersen (Image by @studio.69) Nestled on the edge of a 200 million year old dolerite cliff overlooking the South Esk River, the cottage was built in the 1890s to house the gatekeeper of the reserve. Today it's managed by the Launceston City Council as part of its artist-in-residence program. The Cataract Gorge Reserve is an easy 15-minute walk from Launceston’s CBD.
