I've owned this jeep for 22 years and have had very few problems with it - just your usual parts wearing out - replacing batteries, lights, etc. It has never failed an emissions test and the only safety it failed was when I needed new tires. Love this vehicle. Straight six-caburator, so simple to work on. Unbelievably durable. I saved one in excellent body condition, but was being parted out because of a bad engine and the dealer didn't want to deal with it. Question:Can fenders be painted Answer:I removed and wet sanded my fenders which were grey originally and painted black by previous owner which used wrong type of paint. If your 93 YJ is still all stock, I'd say the hydraulic clutch slave cylinder / throw out bearing might be a bit sticky. Cold weather can cause this, corrosion (if driven in salt water etc.), can cause this or it simply can be wearing out.
