Painting with Water on a Chalkboard. Write letters in chalk and have children use a paintbrush dipped in water to "paint" over. Use different size paintbrushes to adapt for fine motor skills work.

Characters for an Epic Tale - I like the idea of using this as an adjective lesson. Provide an example for kiddos, then have them create their own using adjectival phrases to describe the characters. Don't use this one in the class tho, a few questionable types!

My Years, in Tree Rings - would be great as a poem in our art/poetry books. I would also love this in conjunction with a timeline project. Doing the timeline first might help kids be successful with this.
