We've admired tree-stump stools with painted tops before (see DIY: Garden Stools); we also like these side tables made from felled logs, with exteriors painted glossy white. Designer Marie-Laure Helmkampf came up with the idea for a project in Provence.
Designer Jamie Durie framed this outdoor dining room by incorporating a large backyard pine tree into a stone wall. The benches are made of simple fallen tree trunks, an easy, inexpensive way to create gorgeous outdoor seating. - LOVE but trees grow.
Quem sabe um dia na minha casa! Stone flower bed, fireplace, lush landscape and pergola - This is what I'd like to do with the area where I made the rock wall near the duck pond - probably wont have time this summer!
Mixed paving materials - I like how this looks, plus it makes repurposing easier! CT - note: Could get some pavers that match front walk and combine with other materials to tie both looks together. Definitely want the walk to be permeable.
