UTS Visual Communication: Universal Appeal. Beethoven poster by Josef Muller Brockmann poster for the Zurich Town Hall in the 1950s. Brockmann felt the rhythm of the music the posters were advertising which he reflected in his work. They exemplify constructivism as the pattern moves off the page. The poster is more graphic than illustrative.
