Every city has its own landmarks, recognisable buildings or monuments, which travellers want to see and experience during their visit. In the Jyväskylä Region, at the heart of Finnish Lakeland, visitors are greeted for instance by the Kuokkala bridge, the Vesilinna observation tower on the Harju ridge, Alvar Aalto's architecture and Unesco world heritage sites. Many of the landmarks look particularly appealing in autumn since the buildings also often double as light art installations.
