Did you know the word “soda” has a scientific twist? It comes from the element Sodium (Na)! When we mix sodium bicarbonate (a.k.a. baking soda) with vinegar (acetic acid), it creates a fizzy reaction. This reaction produces carbon dioxide gas, making all those fun bubbles in your favorite drinks! 🥤✨ It’s called carbonation! Here’s the cool part: the reaction also forms water and sodium acetate. So, the next time you see bubbles, you’ll know the science behind the sparkle!
