The Åland Islands is a demilitarised, Swedish-speaking autonomous region of Finland. It has its own parliament (Ålands lagting) and government (Ålands landskapsregering) Mariehamn – the one and only town is its‘capital’. As much as I complain about the cold....I really loved our two years in Iceland. (Honestly, Nebraska was colder than Iceland and I saw way more snow there.)
